Abstract	It was devised and implemented a project management in the nursery of Hospital María Inmaculada of the city Florencia Caquetá of Colombia. The main objective of this project was to develop an educational strategy aimed at parents and caregivers on home care of the newborn, which include general care of the newborn special care of prematurity, breastfeeding, immunization, growth and development and identification of warning signs. The project was implemented through a plan of action in which final products were obtained as an animated presentation six flipcharts and a folding, which were socialized with the nursing staff of the unit and a group of parents. Its impact was assessed through a written evaluation for parents on the issues discussed where appropriate adherence strategies and understanding of the topics discussed was evident
