Abstract	As organizacoes do Terceiro Setor enfrentam dificuldades para alcancar legitimacao perante a sociedade e com isso nao conseguem os recursos necessarios para sua sobrevivencia e dessa forma nao e possivel mensurar quais beneficios estao realmente entregando a populacao. Este artigo se propos a mostrar a importância de legitimar as organizacoes do Terceiro Setor, especificamente o Tatame do Bem em Formiga - MG, e identificar quais os beneficios os responsaveis pelos alunos atendidos realmente percebem. Desta forma o artigo buscou compreender a falta de aceitacao do esporte como atividade que gera beneficios sociais e propor estrategias para que os beneficios passem a ser reconhecidos pela comunidade e pessoas envolvidas no projeto. The benefits of jiu-jitsu legitimization in anorganization of the third sector: a case study in Tatame do Bem ABSTRACT Organizations of the third sector are struggling to achieve legitimacy, and thus do not get the resources needed to survive and cannot even measure what benefits they are actually delivering to the population. This paper aimed to show the importance of legitimizing nonprofit organizations, specifically the "Tatame do Bem" in Formiga - MG and the benefits those responsible for the students served really realize. Thus the article tried to understand the lack of acceptance of the sport as an activity that generates social benefits and also to propose strategies to make the benefits start being recognized by the community and people involved in the project.
