| Abstract | Abstract This paper reviews what we have learnt since the global financial crisis. However, instead of focusing on the GFC itself, and what we did and did not do, it focuses on today. It looks at how we do and understand things differently now compared to before the crisis. It does this because I think the best way to judge what has truly been learnt is to look at the way you have changed as a result. If your behaviour does not change, can it really be said that you have learnt anything? As such the paper discuss how we conduct research differently today compared with before the crisis and what that implies for how we think about the economy. |
