| Abstract | In the framework of the knowledge society, the role of social sciences in the systems of incentives for academic research applied in Uruguay is discussed, according to some results in project evaluation processes and the trajectory of academics. Based on documentary analysis and data, the existence of a double bias is shown to the detriment of the Social Sciences. Likewise, the discriminatory bias that affects women in access to the highest levels of recognition as researchers is shown. |
