| Abstract | This document is a strategic plan for the period 2017-2027, developed for La Libertad’s pepper industry, using the methodology of Secuential Model, that was created by D’Alessio (2015). A deep external and internal analysis were conducted, helping to define where the industry is going over the next years, developing quantitative goals that include higher production, exports and economic return. The purpose is to unify all producers, including micro farmers to grow and produce peppers with excellent quality to supply demanding markets. In order to reach the goals the following strategies will be implemented: (a) penetrate the American market with preserved peppers; (b) develop the Mexican market, introducing fresh peppers, mainly hot ones; (c) penetrate the Spanish market with products preserved in olive oil and combined with olives, in order to satisfy their specific tastes; (d) develop process technology to create new product with high added value; among others. |
