| Abstract | Based on field studies, the analysis of bibliographic information and the revision of information in nationals museums and collections, were presented basic information about mammals reported in the river Guarico wooden bowl (Aragua, Carabobo and Guarico states, Venezuela). Tree natural regions were studied: Serranía del interior, Llanos Ondulados Centrales y Llanos Disectados Centrales. At least 142 species, 31 families and ten orders have been recorded in this wooden bowl (38 % of mammals known in Venezuela). For each species we provide data on capture or observation sites, status, hunt pressure, trophic structure and habitat use. The dominants orders there were: Chiroptera, Rodentia, Carnivora and Didelphimorphia. |
