| Abstract | From 1985 to 2002, Bogota has received 23% of the total displaced population, this represents an increase in the demand for goods, services and supply of labor, therefore, this paper analyzes the impact on the economy this phenomenon, through the central research question: What has been the impact of internal migration caused by forced displacement, economic growth in Bogota? To answer this question a model of linear regression is performed and the relation between the growth of GDP per worker and forced displacement in Bogota is determined. As a result, we find that displacement has not a significant positive impact on this variable and a strong relationship with productivity per worker is revealed. |
