| Abstract | En lo ultimos tiempos es un hecho que los estudios castellologicos han sufrido una renovacion en sus planteamientos metodologicos cuya consecuencia mas importante ha sido una nueva vision sobre el papel y las funciones de las fortalezas. Dentro de las nuevas lineas de investigacion, una parte se han dedicado al analisis de los sistemas defensivos. Una reflexion sobre estas redes de castillos, asi como sobre los elementos que los definen y caracterizan, es el objetivo de este trabajo.
