NDLI: Perfil proteico en mulares (Equus mulus) en condiciones naturales en el departamento de Córdoba, Colombia

Abstract	This paper shows the average values of a protein metabolic profile in mules from the department of Córdoba, Colombia. A descriptive crosssectional study was carried out where blood samples were taken from 24 mulars of the external jugular vein in tubes without anticoagulant for the subsequent determination of the analytes by spectrophotometry. The average values obtained were for each parameter analyzed the following: total proteins 7.42±0.71 g/dL, albumin 3.17±0.39 g/dL, globulin 4.25±0.78 g/dL, urea 43.53±6.09 mg/dL and BUN 20.31 ± 2.84 mg/dL. A significant difference was found for the parameter total proteins according to sex as a classification criterion. The importance of this research is highlighted since it is the first report of the subject in the region.
