| Abstract | This work took as proposed the comparative analysis of books Contos Crioulos, by Hélio Serejo (1998) and Veranico de Janeiro, by Bernardo Elis (1977), seeking to explore the relationship between literature and violence as a constituent subject of the selected narratives. Gathered and organized by Prof. Enilda Mougenot Pires, the 28 tales that make up the collection of Contos Crioulos are presented in the work preface as representative parts of crioulismo: the science of simple things. Helium Serejo did not open up his regionalism, nor of his folktales. In our research the violence will be one of the themes of the author to be recognized. Regarding veranico de Janeiro, by Bernardo Elis, the work published by José Olympio Editora in 1977, brings together 06 stories, which depict a veranico composed of interesting characters, narratives that at times revealed submissive and uncomplaining men slave labor as a condition of survival. |
