| Abstract | This work addresses social inequality in the school environment. Initially, it was a question of characterizing the schooling process in Brazil. The focus of the study was to verify how the processes of social inequality are reflected in school inequalities. We then analyze a specific case to understand how a school responds to social changes and if, in some way, it generates alternative elements to the hegemonic models of school organization. To carry out this qualitative study, research techniques were chosen such as participant observation, interviews, documentary analysis and informal conversations. The results point to a new process of organization of new methods of school management. This construction tends to create an effective bond with the institution, causing the school to be at the forefront of social change processes. |
