| Abstract | This paper on the relationship between training and labour insertion draws on a research study that is currently under way; consequently, the findings presented are not conclusive but provisional. In these circumstances, the author draws attention to general approaches, objectives and methodology. An original and interesting approach is taken to this subject, one that consists of proposing and analysing the aforementioned relationship from a broader perspective than those generally encompassed in the more commonplace theories, both in terms of the social context and the overall dimensions that define training. Hence, curricular factors and work experience, coupled with socialisation, social networks, various bibliographical events, worker strategies and behaviour and attitude-linked aspects, could have a significant bearing on labour insertion against a backdrop of sustained structural crisis in the field of employment.
