| Abstract | It is a business group ECOPETROL need to ensure environmental considerations aimed at consolidating its image, emphasizing cleaner production and responsible with the environment by ensuring the consolidation of recognition as a company Ecopetrol in sustainability and environmental strategy, in the areas of Vice President of Transportation and more specifically in the Management of Pipelines, there are several distribution systems refined petroleum products (gasoline, biodiesel, etc.) through pipelines or pipelines that require pumping systems to deliver products to the distribution stations or terminals, mostly making use of electrical equipment and some combustion equipment that require high energy consumption, which is also translated into an equivalent of atmospheric emissions. In terms of eco-efficiency, the company needs to propose alternatives for reducing consumption in pursuit of a sustainable operation. Finally, this proposal seeks to propose a management model to optimize energy consumption, applied to the pumping plant refined products located in the town of Mariquita, installation associated with the system out Cartago Management of Pipelines, Vice President of Transportation Ecopetrol. Will be conducted with a comparison of energy consumption under the current operating schedule, against the comparative consumption in ideal operating conditions reflected in the strategies for reducing pumping strikes operational factors and programming transportation of refined products pipeline . The final impact will be reflected in the measurement of reduced operating costs and environmental benefits of reducing energy consumption associated with the indirect emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs). |
