| Abstract | In recent years, the Internet of Things (IOT) paradigm has become increasingly relevant due to the popularity among other technologiesof smart cities, smart buildings and, in general the massive acquisition of data from sensors and their integration with Big Data technologies. In order to introduce coordination, communication and negotiation between IOT devices, it has been attempted to add Multi-Agent System (MAS) theory to this type of architecture. The result is a new paradigm known as the Internet of Agents (IOA). However, one of the main limitations of the most widely used agent platforms is that they consume a large amount of resources, which makes incompatible their use in the IoT. This Final Degree Project (TFG) focuses on the design and implementation of a cloudbased agent platform for the Internet of Agents (IOA). For this end, the IBM cloud system, Bluemix, is used to host the most resource-intensive elements of a M.A.S., such as the Agent Management System (AMS), the Directory Facilitator (DF) and the graphical interface for agents control. In addition, the designed platform allows the deployment of agents dedicated to the collection of data from sensors or to preprocessing tasks that consume low computational resources in the IOT devices, and the implementation of the agent platform is based on the standards proposed by FIPA (Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents). The selected language is Python because it allows a great compatibility with a large number of libraries used in both IOT devices and cloud systems. |
