| Abstract | This essay analyses Ramon Gomez de la Serna’s (1888-1963) insistence on having his place in the publishing sector in France during 1920s. At that time, to reach success in Paris used to mean literary recognition as much in Europe as in our country. Ramon, helped by the translators and intellectuals Valery Larbaud and Jean Cassou, dreamt about the possibility of writing only novels, his favorite genre. Unfortunately, French critics of his works went from a initial enthusiasm to a fast deception due to his narrative style, initially seen as anticipating Surrealism but that did no fit the tendencies of the early 1930s. 202 | La traduccion como promocion |
