| Abstract | Our article is part of the Start-up innovation strategy and its intangible results. Our goal is to understand how an official delivery of a patent can prove to be a new tool at the service of the leader, and at the same time also to make known to the scientific community a new concept of Management. A Start-up registering in its balance sheet its patent issued by the National Institute of Industrial Property will mechanically increase its own funds, which will allow an easy access to financing. While Porter's (1996) work has uncovered the consistency of an organization’s strategic as a process plan, Mintzberg's (1978) start-up writers propose to oppose the strategy as process with the so-called strategy as practice (Sandberg, & Tsoukas, 2011). The "practice" being linked to the methods of the young structures. The characteristic fact of a "practice adhocracy" is according to Baker and Nelson (2005) a do-ityourself “bricolage” operation, where the start-up reacts day-to-day. Our article proposes a new “bricolage” tool unknown to Management Sciences to date, where a start-up uses its innovation work characterized by the delivery of a patent, to obtain development funds by increasing its own funds. |
