| Abstract | This area of western Arizona has identified mineral resources of manganese, uranium, and gold. This book discusses the potential for undiscovered mineral resources which is high for sediment-hosted manganese and uranium and is high and moderate for gold with minor silver in fault and shear zones. The mineral resource potential is moderate for silver, gold, lead, and zinc in vein, for tungsten, rare-earth elements, quartz, and feldspar in pegmatites, and for geothermal energy. Low mineral resource potential exists for copper, lead, and zinc in massive sulfide deposits, for additional uranium and for thorium, zeolite minerals, clay, gypsum, coal, and oil and gas. |
