| Abstract | Between January 2000 and December 2001, a significant upward monthly trend was recorded for four of the sixteen major crime categories in NSW, namely assault, fraud, robbery with a firearm and steal from person. During this two-year period there were also significant decreases in two major crime categories: break and enter – dwelling and indecent assault, act of indecency and other sexual offences. The monthly number of recorded incidents was stable for the remaining ten crime categories over this period. |
