Abstract	espanolEl objetivo del presente articulo es resaltar el regimen juridico cada vez mas restrictivo del principio de jurisdiccion universal, las motivaciones subyacentes en su limitacion de forma general a nivel internacional, y la trascendencia de esta nueva configuracion en la efectiva persecucion y castigo de los crimenes que atentan contra los bienes juridicos cuya titularidad pertenece a toda la comunidad internacional en su conjunto. Para ello, se realiza un analisis de la legislacion vigente en la materia, en Espana y en otros paises de nuestro entorno, y de los procesos judiciales mas significativos llevados a cabo en aplicacion de este principio. EnglishThe purpose of this article is to expose the increasing restrictiveness of the legal regime from the principle of universal jurisdiction, the underlying motivations that have caused this limitation in the international level, and the importance of this new configuration when persecuting and punishing the crimes a gainst legal assets that belong to the international community. For this, an analysis of the legislation that covers this area is made, focusing in Spain and other similar countries, and of the more important judicial processes carried out under this principle.
