Abstract	This communication reports the first synthesis of well-defined colloidal W nanocrystals, Ag–W heterostructures and their broad plasmon absorbance in the visible to near infrared region. Strong interparticle plasmonic interactions significantly improve the photocatalytic reduction performance of silver–tungsten heterostructures.
