| Abstract | The appearance of evolved models in the formal structures of language experienced, from the middle of the 14th century until the end of the 17th century, a series of phonological and morpho-syntactic changes that are sufficiently documented and that invite us to consider them from the new paradigms provided by linguistic studies. This work proposes to analyse the absolute constructions of participle in Spanish, particularly in the texts produced by one of the best exponents of the Spanish narrative of the mid-17th century, the Madrid writer Maria de Zayas, from the perspective of the processes of grammaticalisation through discursive historical analysis. |
