| Abstract | En el siglo XXI con la revolucion cientifico-tecnica, nos encontramos ante una situacion muy compleja que es importante resolver de manera interdisciplinaria para promover el uso racional del laboratorio. Por otra parte, la Organizacion Panamericana de la Salud, en estrecha colaboracion con otras organizaciones, establecio una serie de recomendaciones que incluian un componente de etica para los laboratorios de salud: El Codigo de Etica expresa la politica de la organizacion, vinculando las necesidades de los pacientes con las metas del laboratorio y estableciendo sus condiciones eticas y morales; asi mismo representa un compromiso con los valores de la organizacion y marca un punto de referencia para el comportamiento de sus miembros. Revisamos aspectos relacionados con el consentimiento informado, uno de los conceptos centrales de la etica medica actual que tiene caracteristicas especiales en los medios de diagnostico. Abstract In the XXI century with the scientific-technique revolution, we met a very complex situation that is important to solve in an interdisciplinary way to promote the rational use of the laboratory. On the other hand, the Panamerican Health Organization in a close relation which other organizations established a series of the recommendations which included an ethic component for health laboratories: The Code of Ethic that expresses the policy of organization binding the patients´ necessities with the goals of the laboratory and establishing its ethic and moral conditions; in this way it represents a commitment with de values of organization and marks a point of view for the behavior of its members. Some aspects related with de informed consent were reviewed, one of the central concepts of medical ethic which has special characteristic in the diagnosis means. |
