| Abstract | Once the norms for the new Cuban national narrative were instated, the “new man” was an ideology determined as a function of moral and economic factors that presupposed an emotional response as its outcome. One could ask what type of emotional disposition requires in the present to exempt oneself from its concept of future. This article reviews some emotional dispositions present in the Generation Zero’s narrative and its discursive position in the lettered city. Both, emotional dispositions and discursive positions, are studied paying attention to which regimes of power/knowledge/pleasure sustains a particular discourse. |
