| Abstract | Resumen En el ano 2010 se celebro en Colombia el Bicentenario de la Independencia Nacional, el cual sirvio para realizar toda una serie de eventos conmemorativos auspiciados por entidades gubernamentales, lo que le imprimio el sello de una de fiesta oficial. Esta ponencia aborda otros elementos que hemos denominado como “usos” del Bicentenario, siguiendo un estudio del investigador Eric Hobsbawm respecto del Bicentenario de la Revolucion Francesa, definido con la expresion: “todo el mundo tuvo su Revolucion Francesa”. De igual manera en este Bicentenario colombiano varias instituciones han tomado el acontecimiento para tener, parodiando a Hobsbawm, “su propio bicentenario”. La exposicion aborda un analisis de las diversas imagenes que fueron producidas por otras voces diferentes de las oficiales para referirse al Bicentenario donde se destaca el uso o abuso de la conmemoracion. Las imagenes fueron acopiadas en la ciudad de Bogota en una especie de trabajo etnografico. Palabras claves: Iconografia; bicentenario; usos de imagenes. This communication approaches other elements that we have denominated like “uses” of the Bicentennial, following a study of the investigator Eric Hobsbawm respect to the Bicentennial of the French Revolution, defined with the expression: “everybody had its French Revolution”. From equal way in this Colombian Bicentennial several institutions have taken the event to have, “parodiando” to Hobsbawm, “its own bicentennial”. The exhibition approaches an analysis of the diverse images that were produced by other voices different from the officials to talk about to the Bicentennial where the use or abuse of the commemoration stands out.
