| Abstract | The purpose of this paper is to promote a problematization of violence in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. The management of urban space and the control of the favela population have been made from the production of fear and violence. This fact leads us to believe in the existence of a necropolitic either by social aspects, or by racial markers. In addition, violence in the city is analyzed under the prism of the Federal Intervention and the projection of possible international responsibility of the Brazilian State for violations of human rights. |
