Abstract	Apresenta o resultado de uma pesquisa do perfil dos visitantes dos parques publicos da cidade de Sao Paulo realizada pelos alunos do curso de Tecnologia em Turismo do CEFET-SP. O estudo se baseia em 1250 entrevistas realizadas entre os meses de maio e junho de 2004. O artigo mostra a grande importância dos parques publicos para o lazer da sociedade paulistana, aponta as principais carencias e dificuldades enfrentadas e apresenta algumas sugestoes para a gestao desses equipamentos. Palavras-chave: Lazer; Tempo livre; Parques Municipais; Sao Paulo; Perfil do Visitante; Pesquisa de Demanda Abstract: This paper presents the results of a survey on the profile of Sao Paulo's public parks' users, which was developed by undergraduate students of CEFET-SP's Tourism Course. This study is based on 1250 interviews conducted during the months of May and June, 2004. The paper discusses the great importance of public parks for the leisure of Sao Paulo's residents. It also shows difficulties and necesities of these parks, as well as presents some suggestions to their management.
