| Abstract | A way of studying in depth the knowledge of the spanish Health is the study of the periodic publica - tions. We have compiled the sanitary papers published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Badajoz between the year 1833 and 1873, in that 6,671 bulletins are edited. We have classified it according to his content and according to his geographical ambience. With our method, we present the first system of recov - ery of this information. In the paragraph of the classification dedicated to the illness, we have references about: carbunco, cholera, diphtheria, yellow fever, flu, typhus and smallpox. They add 378 news. We state the important presence of news on three epidemics of cholera suffered in province of Badajoz inside this period, which stimulated the slow but firm restoration of the measurements of hygiene in the way of life of our society, which is reflected in a faithful way in the Bulletin.
