| Abstract | In the present paper, we present a method for the resolution of the active power optimal repartition based on non linear programming and that is Zoutendijk method. This method is derived from the quasi Newtonian methods. As the principle of these methods is based on no constraint problems and as ours is a constraint one, we have used the combined penalty function to find the optimal power to be generated under the equality or inequality type constraints. We mustsdy that this method has been used for the first time here in the active powers optimization, and that we have applied it to western Algeria electrical network. The present results have been compared to those of the electrical energy production co. (Sonelgaz).
