| Abstract | The present analysis investigates non-Darcy forced convective heat transfer in a channel confined by two parallel walls subjected to uniform heat flux in a highly porous medium saturated with a non-Newtonian power-law fluid. Extensive numerical integrations have been carried out utilizing the Brinkman-Forchheimer extension of the Darcy model in order to study the effects of pseudoplasticity, and Brinkman and Forchheimer terms on the heat transfer characteristics. On etudie dans la presente anaiyse le transfert de chaleur par convection forcee (ne correspondant pas au regime de Darcy) dans un canal comportant deux parois paralleles soumis a un flux de chaleur uniforme dans un milieu haute- ment poreux avec un fluide non newtonien de type loi de puisance. On a effectue des integrations numeriques extensives en utilisant l'extension du modele de Darcy de Brinkman-Forchheimer afin d'etudier les effets de la pseudoplasticite, ainsi que les termes de Brinkman et Forchheimer sur les caracteristiques du transfert de chaleur. |
