| Abstract | Through this research the concepts of shrinkage in inventories and control methods in the pharmaceutical supply chain (CEDIS-LOCATOR-CEDIS) were identified; considering that the inventory represents the stored goods of a company which are allocated to one type of operation either buy, sell, rent, or own use transformation. Given that the supply chain is the flow of materials interacting coming to an end customer, ensuring the satisfaction of this, within the logistics cycle. Many factors and causes of shrinkage throughout all these processes; some of these are manageable and not others. For this reason, they classify and define what their possible solutions, bearing in mind that the "zero shrinkage" is unobtainable as a result, but if you can control the impact that this has. At the end of this research the causes of losses of inventories shall be found by determining the overall performance of the system, where all quantitative and qualitative variables are defined in the pharmaceutical supply chain by identifying their type and classification defining the model and control measures for reducing shrinkage. |
