| Abstract | THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM has recently acquired an exceptionally well-preserved Roman mirror with a striking representation of the three Graces (Figures i, 2).' It belongs to an interesting class of relief mirrors, of which the Museum already has one example (see Figure I7) . The subject of the relief, one of the most famous compositions of antiquity, was not previously represented in the collection of Greek and Roman art. |
