NDLI: New Era of Endovenous Laser Ablation for Varicose Veins with 1470 nm Laser

Abstract	Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) using 1470 nm laser and radial 2ring fiber was covered by national insurance in 2014 in accordance with the results of randomized controlled trial which was performed in Japan. EVLA with 1470 nm laser decreases postoperative pain and ecchymosis that were problem before and is highly effective. This procedure may dramatically change the treatment of varicose veins in Japan.
