| Abstract | We say that a real polynomial is a Hurwitz polynomial if all of its roots have negative real part. The importance of the Hurwitz polynomials can be appreciated in the study of stability of a linear systems: if the characteristic polynomial is Hurwitz then the system is stable. In this paper we explain the main criteria about Hurwitz polynomials and we pose some open problems about them. |
