| Abstract | We study the propagation of linear surface gravity waves in a channel in the presence of two bottom fixed obstacles. Three to01s are used: the fIfSt is theoretical, the second is nLL'11erical, and the third is experimental. The theoretlcal model is a model of plane wave corrected by the introduction of the apparent dimension of obstacles. The numerical model is based on boundary elements method that permitted us the access 10 the reflection coefficient nwnerically. The experimental results are obtained in a channel of the Laboratory. On tlle one hand vie will validate the different approaches in relation to the experimental results, and on the other hand we will analyze the wave length range for which surface gravity waves are unaffected by the obstacles, and the effeet of their geometrical lay-out on the reflection coefficient. |
