| Abstract | The paper presents the influence of the thickness of the air gap on basic proprieties of switched re- luctance motors. Based on field calculations using finite elements method for selecting structure of SRM there are described characteristics of electromagnetic torque, flux linkage and self inductance depends on flowing current and angle of rotor. There is described the influence of thickness of the air gap on average electromag- netic torque generated by motor and ratio between aligned inductance and unaligned inductance ( La/Lu). There are show selected waveforms of current and electromagnetic torque for selected thickness of air gap of SRM model. There are presented the conclusions. |
