The synthesized products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrum, electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis). The results revealed that compared to SiO2 and TiO2, SiO2-TiO2 nanomposite materials display smaller crystal size, greater band gap energy. The photocatalytic activity of the synthesized products has been compared in the photodegradation activity of methylene orange (MO). |
