| Abstract | The modern economy manufactures products that require an in creasing amount of intellectual capital. Therefore, organizations must increasingly operate on the basis of creative people, ingen ious, highly specialized knowledge and skills; this, however, requires the creation of appropriate conditions conducive to generating ideas and inventions, and facilitating learning. One should strive for the development of an organizational culture whose core element should be information, openness and good social communication, conducive to the creativity and innovation of people in the organization. The core component of this culture is the creation and preservation of intellectual resources. The purpose of this arti cle is to show the importance of protecting inventions and patterns and other innovative enterprise solutions as a natural process of turning ideas into economic resources with real market value. Fully utilizing the intellectual property protection system not only helps organizations reap the benefits of their creativity, which motivates them for more effective creativity, but at the same time is the main source of competitive advantage. |
