| Abstract | On this work, we will focus on the interfacial instability between two layer, incompressible viscoelastic fluids flowing concentrically in a straight circular tube. Equation which model the dynamics of the flow is obtained, the analyze adopted is based on a method of asymptotic expansion to solve the Navier-Stokes equations and the associated boundary conditions. This approach is valid for interfacial waves that are long compared to the thickness of the fluid layers. The long wave asymptotic analysis predicts accurately the behavior of the flow close to criticality. Results of our analysis, allow us to highlight the influence of various parameters of the problem on the critical Reynolds number.
