| Abstract | Writing high-performance code is a work-intensive process. Often, performance-optimized code is difficult to maintain, difficult to modify, and dependent on architecture specific properties for its performance. Using code generation can ease this burden. By using a multi-stage language to generate code, optimizations can be stated in a more abstract fashion. In this paper, we will describe the multi-stage programming language Terra and how it supports generating high-performance code without sacrificing readability or generality. |
