| Abstract | Summary Trough our research project we have tried to figure out how illumination, acoustics or air conditioning (and, in general, all areas related to facilities) were developed in some romanesque churches at the spanish city of Segovia - in particular in the church of The Trinidad - along history. We also tried to find out which has been its relationship with construction techniques of each time. The analysis of an specific building, the Trinidad of Segovia, has allowed to demonstrate to what extent its design and development has been conditioned by the necessity of giving service to certain facilities in certain moments. From its initial conception (when the importance of sound projection and entrance of light was basic) until the adjustments carried out in the Baroque (with the different conception of its necessities of illumination or treatment of sound), our study analyzes the Trinidad of Segovia with an eminently functional approach. At the same time, it reviews constructive and structural implications that the installation of all these facilities involve. |
