| Abstract | The participation and the involvement with extracurricular activities, as the leisure activity or sporting have been a topic of importance in what refers to the opportunities regarding the public politics. In that sense the objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of the Sport Schoolar Project in their participants' development in a community from Sao Jose (SC). Based on a perspective of a Bioecological Model proposed by Bronfenbrenner and Morris (1998), the evaluation that is intended in this study, will evidence an analysis of the activities and relationships experienced in the Sport Schoolar Project microsystem and an analysis of the social net that he/she is formed starting from its implantation. A theoretical-methodological framework was used described by Cecconello and Koller (2003), denominated Ecological Insert. During the investigation, the proximal processes happened were verified through two instruments: (a) an anedotario for the registration of the informal conversations and of the observations and (b) interviews. The identified participants for this study are part of four environmental units, where the children appear as central participants of the evaluation. Among all the participants regarding the mentioned environmental units, forty four were interviewed (44) children with age between 10 and 13 years enrolled in the Sport Schoolar Project; nine (9) families, seven (7) teachers of the school, two (2) directors and a (1) supervisor. Starting from the collected information the ecological map was delineated regarding the macrosystem of the study, that according to Krebs (2001) it represents the dynamics of the community's social net. As results of this study are possible to emphasize the following points: (A) The proximal processes executed in function of the experienced activities and the personal characteristics, unchained a force so that the children stayed engaged in the Project, besides a larger participation in physical activities in the community's other places; (B) the proximal processes happened in function of the acquisition of experiences, knowledge and abilities in the context of the Sport Schoolar Project generated changes in the children's relationships with the members of the families, and also new opportunities of relationships among the equal ones; (C) the Sport Schoolar Project has not just the potential to urge the development of the children directly involved in the project, but also of their relatives and of the community's other children that interact starting from the participation in physical activities in others with them you adapt and; (D) the parents and teachers that participated actively of their children's activities and students in the Sport Schoolar Project, developed a sense common of perspectives in the children's favor. Finally, it can be considered that the impact of a project is related to the way as the responsible interfere in the communities, so that starting from those interactions it happens a transformation in the participants' benefit. |
