PALABRAS CLAVE: liberalismo, partido, Pastor Diaz, Alcala Galiano, Donoso Cortes ABSTRACT Spanish liberalism tried to organise at the beginning of the 19th century a new model of country, which included the different areas in which the social and political life develops. Besides more or less diffuse ideas about the shape the new society should have and the path to it, there appeared also a series of challenges partly unexpected, that demanded a reappraisal of some theoretical starting points. One of these elements not included in the liberal project relates to a phenomenon intimately linked with the parliamentary systems. The emergence of parties in the chambers and their persistence turned them into an objective of inquiry, among many others. It will be in circles closed to the so called moderantismo in which the analysis acquires a special depth. Nevertheless, we are far from meeting a homogeneous vision on this topic. In fact, the variety of trends present in the loose political groups of middle of the 19th will have likewise his reflection in the peculiarity of the different approaches to these new political entities. In this article, I will focus on the reflections on parties of Nicomedes Pastor Diaz. KEY WORDS: Liberalism, party, Pastor Diaz, Alcala Galiano, Donoso Cortes |
