| Abstract | espanolA partir de la reforma electoral de 2009 se instituyo una dinamica de elecciones bienal, en la que alternan los comicios de presidente, vicepresidentes y diputados a la Asamblea Legislativa con aquellos correspondientes a los cargos municipales. En este documento se recogen, en primer lugar, las cifras agregadas de gastos liquidados por los partidos politicos como variable proxy de su comportamiento ciclico, desde el ano 2010; en segundo lugar, se discute el papel de las expectativas en el modelo de financiamiento politico-electoral costarricense y su efecto sobre la dinamica economico-financiera de esas organizaciones EnglishSince the 2009 electoral reform, an electoral dynamic was established every two years, in which the elections of the President, Vice-Presidents and Congress members alternated with those corresponding to the municipal offices.
