| Abstract | The text is supported by historical and recent facts and has the goal of establishing a debate on gender, education and gender education, inside and outside schools. It problematizes the standardization of ways to be, think and behave, but also the binary gender schemes that still operate in society and educational contexts. The data collection was conducted by the documental analysis of news from newspapers and literature review on this subject. The analysis made it possible to understand that, despite historical achievements, women remain invisible, even when they are the main protagonist. It is worth noticing that gender inequality does not affect only women, but the entire society – hostage to a school system that produces and reproduces inequality and injustice. |
