| Abstract | The article addresses the singular nature of teaching philosophy and its place in the university. In line with stances representative of contemporary thought, and despite talk about the end of philosophy and judging by the anti-rationalist tone the imbues much of philosophic culture, philosophy is presented as a guarantee of rationality that is capable of recognizing forms of knowledge and experience beyond the sciences and responding to the overriding questions about the world and the human condition. |
