| Abstract | The paper describes the most common workstations in the mining of lignite and identified threats that exist on them. Presented are factors that also indirectly affect the safety and ergonomic assessment of the workplace. In addition, are presented those risks that are not fully identified by employers. In the text the authors paid particular attention to the operator of bucket-wheel excavators (and bucket chain excavators) and the operator stackers, which are crucial due to the operation of the mine. In addition, the pressure under which employees are working in these positions is applied to the typical risks these positions. This situation requires changes in the direction of free movement of the employees’ rotation and increases the staff in such a manner that could occur if required to segregation of duties, additional control of work and the delegation of responsibilities in the event of incapacitation. These changes are associated with one hand with the need to refine the ergonomic new solutions, on the other hand, the change of habits operators and their supervisors. LITERATURA / BIBLIOGRAPHY [1].
