Abstract	The purpose of this study is to show the effects of naltrexone in combination with psychotherapy in the treatment of borderline and complex posttraumatic stress disorders. In an open trial 3 out of 5 long term patients benefit from the combined treatment. Success depends extremely on stable psychosocial environment and a mild therapeutic idealization. Some criteria are discussed how to combine successfully various psychotherapeutic approaches with naltrexone treatment.
