| Abstract | the treatment of purulent meningitis in Nord Cameroun. The mortality rate was 8 % and sequellaes were reported in 5 % of cases. To ameliorate the management of purulent meningitis in this area we propose : a) increase sensitization of the local population, b) re e n f o rce vaccination against meningitis to the children less than 10 years, c) p rophylactic administration of Spiramycin to contacts, especially during epidemics periods. |
