| Abstract | The state of Rio Grande do Sul is a major producer of rice and can use the waste generated in this activity for animal feed, among them is the rice bran (RB). With marked presence of anti-nutritional factors in RB, the addition of exogenous enzymes may be an option to increase the nutrient availability and reduce the negative effects of this characteristic. In this study we tested the effects of the enzymatic complex (EC) Allzyme SSF on performance and metabolizability of broilers, males, Cobb, fed diets containing 10% defatted rice bran (DRB) for a total period to 38 days old. In addition, we also tested the tibia bone mineralization and the retention of phosphorus (P). The experimental design was completely randomized in a factorial 3x2 decomposition with three levels of nutrition the standard diet – whitout nutritional reduction (NR), a valuation of 75 kcal/kg metabolizable energy (ME) and a valuation of 100kcal/kg EM with 0.1% Ca and 0.1 % P available in both valuations with or without the addition of EC (200 g/T). Birds receiving EC showed no difference in the performance in the entire period compared to those without addition. The EC increased retention of P 8.55%. Chickens that received EC showed an increase of 2.45% in the ash of tibias. The use of EC in combination to diets containing 10% DRB, have no positive effects in the performance of birds, but the enzyme phytase present in the complex showed its action, increasing the retention of phosphorus and ash percentage of tibia.
