| Abstract | A new species of lizard of the genus Riolama is described from the summit of Cerro Marahuaca, Amazonas state, Venezuela. This new taxon is distinguished from the other member of this genus, R. leucosticta, by having a triangular interprefrontal scale, the supralabial series not interrupted by a subocular, external auditory conduct short, presence of preanal pores, and femoral pores in number of 11-13. |
